At Community BBQ & Grill, our mission is "Build Relationships. Serve People." We know that good food can be good for the body and for the soul. However, food insecurity is a real and present challenge for individuals and families in need, and we build our community projects around meeting the food needs in our area. We also know that we're not the only folks doing great work in our community, and we are thrilled to partner with local schools, churches, non-profits, and other groups in support of their efforts to meet local needs.
Community partners with the Helping Hands of Rockwall County food pantry, which serves 60-90 families every week.
2023 Goals to Provide:
1) Additional cold storage for perishable items
2) Greater purchasing power through our commercial accounts
3) Ready-to-heat individual and family meals
4) Necessary grocery items (ground beef, eggs, produce)
Proceeds from designated items on our menu will directly support purchasing these items for the food bank.
Feed The Need
Our Feed The Need Project was developed early in the pandemic to help feed local individuals and families in need. We partner with local churches, school districts, and non-profits to identify local areas experiencing food insecurity for any reason, and we build ready-to-heat meals that our partners deliver directly to families. Since March 2020, Community has donated over 30,000 free meals through the Feed The Need Project.
Dream Center Dallas
Dream Center Dallas is located in the heart of one of DFW's poorest precincts. Community provides supports the monthly grocery pick-ups and brings the Chuck Wagon out to cook for several larger events throughout the year.
The BBQ Bucks program is a way for our guests to support Community's efforts in our area. BBQ Bucks can be purchased and donated to provide meals for teachers, first responders, service members, or anyone who needs a warm smile and a good meal.
